ReplyDeletei really miss the absence of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik from today's music scene as for some reason they are not singing as many songs as they used to sing previously...i don't know whether they have cut down drastically on their work on purpose or are singing fewer songs these days due to any other reasons
infact, Udit ji and Alka ji were also the number one preferred choice of Himeshji before Aashiq Banaya Aapne era and sung some melodious duets in Tere Naam etc.
it would be great if you could bring this question up sometime in any upcoming interview/s as to why these great conventional playback voices were sort of forgotten and sidelined since the advent of new age crop of singers...and what could be the exact reason as to why many composers are not working that much often with veterans like Udit ji and Alka ji.
