2011: It's A Wrap!

Let me share a few videos from Bollywood Hungama 2011 It's A Wrap. Hope you like them:

1) It's A Wrap: Uncut Diamonds Of 2011

Here we've chosen actors who won't really add 'glamour' to the glitzy awards-season in Bollywood and hence will be royally ignored. People like the feisty Rajesh Sharma (No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture), gutsy Gulshan Devaiyah (That Girl In Yellow Boots), spunky Partho (Stanley Ka Dabba), inspirational Harsh Mayar (I Am Kalam), the wonderful starcast of 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge', very talented Divyendu (Pyaar Ka Punchnaama), awesome Deepak Dobriyal (Tanu Weds Manu), sensational Pitobash (Shor In The City) and more....

It's A Wrap: Best Actors Of 2011

In the Filmfare Awards nominations, Farhan Akhtar has been nominated in Best Supporting Actor category while Hrithik has been nominated in the Best Actor category. Both have been nominated for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. It is obvious that the nominations have been done based on the 'supposed' star value prevalent in the industry rather than the merit of performance in the film. In our roundup of best actors, we've chosen Farhan as one of the best actors as he really did shine bringing in variety of emotions.

It's A Wrap: Best Actresses of 2011

It is fine if your star status is evaluated on the basis of your Box Office performance. But when you are being evaluated for 'Best Actress', what should matter is 'acting prowess' Only. Hence Kareena may have had hugely successful 'Bodyguard' and hit 'Ra.one', she doesn't qualify in the 'Best Actress' category. Hopefully, she will be back with a bang in 2012 with 'Heroine'. As an actress that is. Kalki has been featured twice (That Girl In Yellow Boots and Shaitan). Vidya Balan (The Dirty Picture and No One Killed Jessica) will be the toast of the awards season in 2011 (and rightly so) but the fact is, Kalki delivered two superb performances in 2011 (and a useless one in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara).

It's A Wrap: Lost Legends In 2011

Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Bhupen Hazarika, Jagjit Singh, M F Hussain...2011 was really an year of lost legends. This is one video you don't want to miss.

It's A Wrap: Pathbreaking Films Of 2011

A path breaking film is judged on Content as well as Technique.

  2. Ahem...you should ask any prominent moviegoer who watched ZNMD who they felt did a better performance. I have talked to a lot of them, and they all agree that Hrithik's performance was tops. Hrithik's character was different, and it was something that he has never played before. I'm not saying that Farhan wasn't brilliant, but there is a HUGE difference between a bad performance and an unlikable character.
