Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti and 3 Idiots are films that will be remembered amongst the best films of Hindi cinema even twenty years down the line. I asked Aamir Khan in an interview post the success of Talaash, if it is a conscious effort on his part to make films for posterity, films that rise beyond Box Office records and weekend madness. "Only thing that I am thinking when I am selecting a film is that do I like it. The story does it affect me, move me, touch me and if it does then I want to be a part of it. At that time I don't know what the business will be, I don't know whether it will be remembered in posterity, whether it will turn out the way we want it to turn out. I know none of that. I just know that it excites me. I know that the next two years of my life I will have a great time working on this material. That's all I am concerned with. It makes me happy," Aamir said.
