A Smile Without A Price Tag

A poem on the Air India Express Plane Crash on May 22nd 2010

A tired bird
Gives up the sky
An ocean of tears
Gulps the pain
An unseen dream
Withered in vain
A silent scream
Unheard and tamed
The voice within
A world of its own
Beauty of life
Manifests in tragedy
Transience is everywhere
God is watching the game
A trickle of kindness
Smiles without a price tag;
Before the blame
Invent a prayer.

The bird is still flying
Somethings never end.
