When you started your career with Om Shanti Om in 2007, I became a huge fan of yours. Like so many others, I was totally mesmerised by your beauty and your grace in the role of Shantipriya. I was right to have faith on your abilities, as you have turned out to be a really fine actress. In fact you're only getting better and better as far as your acting is concerned. However I'm a bit disappointed by the roles you have chosen for yourself. You play way too many "modern" characters, and actually you have not played a single desi heroine since OSO (yes there was a Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey in the meantime, but unfortunately that didn't do well and the length of your role was very short anyway). Obviously the characters you have portrayed all along were not completely the same and had a different story behind them. What I mean is, they all had western sensibilities. You were seen wearing the same kind of clothes in all your films, whether a Bachna Ae Haseeno, Love Aaj Kal, Karthik Calling Karthik, Break Ke Baad, Housefull, Desi Boyz or now Cocktail. It's as if you were purposely targeting the multiplex audiences, and it's not a good strategy as you are missing out a wider segment of the public. I also feel you should experiment more with your heroes. We would like to see you with Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan or Salman Khan instead of your regular Akshay, Saif, Ranbir, John, Imran... THANK YOU!!!
My question to DP are how was it working with Saif the 2nd time around? What are his good quality as an actor. She had the option to be either character in the movie what made her choose the character is she doing instead of the other one? Till date which movie of hers has been her most memorable experience! Though its not related at all has she seen the hollywood movie COCKTAIl with TOM CRUISE? :P
Looking forward to seeing the interview! M sure its going to an enjoyable one! :D
