"Gangs of Wasseypur part 2 is ten times more entertaining than Gangs of Wasseypur part 1," said Anurag Kashyap in an interview with me a short while back. Anurag says he feels a sense of relief with the success of GOW part 1. There is a big plan to release both the parts of Gangs Of Wasseypur internationally. Anurag says that they've received whopping offers for MG (Minimum Guarantee) for the international version.
Anurag feels happy with the recognition for actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, Jameel Khan. Piyush Mishra. He says that Bollywood continues to play an intrinsic role as the backdrop for part 2. What does he have to say about Mr Bachchan and the differences that they've had in the past? (Mr Bachchan praised part 1 lavishly).
Anurag expressed disappointment with media. "Journalists are more keen on the headlines than presenting the right picture," he says. Anurag confirmed that he has written the additional dialogues for Talaash. A newspaper claimed that Anurag was upset with Aamir for turning down Bombay Velvet. Any truth in that? When is Bombay Velvet starting? Anurag once said that he won't work with stars and rather work with newcomers. Now he is working with Ranbir Kapoor. What are his thoughts on this shift?
