Ranbir Rocked At IIFA Rocks

"You can love me or hate me but you can't ignore me," said Mika after a scintillating performance at IIFA Rocks, Singapore a short while back at the magnificent auditorium in Esplanade. Mika sang-n-danced to his hit tracks Chintata, Dhinka Chika, Pingi and Subah Hone Na De. The evening belonged to Ranbir Kapoor who came on stage to present an award and the screams were the loudest for him. One of the hosts Ayushman Khurana (Good, but went a bit overboard) made him dole out the Saleem-Anarkali dialogue from Mughal-e-Azam in great grand dad Prithviraj Kapoor's voice, the duo sang Jeena yahan marna yahan (Raj Kapoor), danced to Paisa Ye Paisa (Rishi Kapoor) and even shook a leg to Bebo Main Bebo (Kareena). Hilarious stuff.

Sonakshi Sinha did a Chintata step on stage while Parineeti charmed with her natural enthusiasm. Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan mesmerised with Bin Tere, and Mitwa. Shahid Kapoor swayed to Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff from Teri Meri Kahani with co star Priyanka Chopra. Kapoor was in a white tuxedo while Chopra enjoyed herself playing the diva from 1960s. Rishi Kapoor launched a coffee table book 'Cinema At 100'. It's a book that celebrates the 100 years of Indian cinema and it is an initiative of HT Media.

The evening drew to a close with a spectacular performance by Hariharan, Leslie Lewis and Usha Uthup. The trio performed on live music. They belted out Bollywood songs since time immemorial. The songs like 'Eena Meena dika', 'Khoya Khoya Chaand', 'Ye dosti hum nahin chodenge', 'I am a disco dancer', 'Tujhe dekha to Ye jaana sanam', 'Chaiya Chaiya' and 'All is well' were performed with superb élan. The technical awards of IIFA were also given away today.
