Hrithik Roshan's Statement On Separation With Susanne


Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17 yr relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time. I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way. I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honour it at the highest level... And Once again I thank my fans for all the concern and prayers for my health, my treatment is going well and I should be able to resume my life in every way very soon. Thank you

The Lunch Box Director's Letter To Film Federation Of India


Ritesh Batra's (director of The Lunchbox) response to the letter he received from FFI.

Dear Sir, 
I just received your letter. Many industry stalwarts have made comments similar to mine but you sent the letter to me, a debutant filmmaker, but I am honoured and proud to speak for my film and team. If an apology is what you demand, you have it. Both you and the jury have my wholehearted apology. 

There was no intent to hurt anyone, but rather to participate in the vigorous debate that this decision ignited in the public domain. 

I sincerely hope that the annual reactions to our Academy selections from the national press, and this year from even the international press, prompt a new policy for the selection. Sir, please use your good offices to give us a transparent, objective process with a public and not a secret jury. It is a direct and humble request, not a criticism. 

I have moved on from this debate to focus on more productive pursuits and I would encourage everyone to do the same. With much respect for your tough job.

Carnations and lilies are hueless
When set by the face of my fair
A fine woven gold is worthless
When weighted against the wealth of her hair
Through arches of corals passes her laughter
That banishes care
And flowers spring afresh
Amongst the grasses
Wherever her feet may fare.

The Illusion Of Freedom

When the fear
Takes over,
The lights blinker,
Darkness raises its head
Even in naked brightness,
The demons whisper
Mischievously,
Frivolous giggles
Trigger insecurities,
Cloistered uncertainties
Knock the doors,
Mind webs a picture,
A discolored picture
Robbed of grace.

 Freedom is an illusion,
An over-romanticised dream
That never really transpires,
Chain your emotions
And at least aspire
To battle it out,
More importantly,
With the enemy within,
Make sure there are no conditions
For 'Victory' is an illusion too,
At least try and then keep trying.
